MANSFIELD PAINTBALL REVIEW
THE FIELDS
Mansfield Paintball has seven fields for players to enjoy.  They are: Airbase Attack,
Ghost Town, Tower Defense, Fort Vern, Sawmill’s Revenge, Lone Star and Deep
Woods.

Airbase Attack – This field’s private staging area is located just outside the field and
overlooks the fishing pond, go-carts and future zip line areas.  The playing area has
several plane fuselages, wings and other aircraft body parts to hide behind during a
game.  One corner of the field has a large group of 55-gallon plastic drums, in two
curving rows, to use as a defensive barricade.  The field is not very large and the
games are usually quick and intense with action!  This field, like most of the fields, is
netted so spectators can watch games safely.  Pictures

Ghost Town – False fronts, covered wagons, a well, tombstones and other “Old
West” items mark this field as a very fun and interesting place to play!  A broad main
street lies between the two sides of this Ghost Town and the action is fierce as
teams battle for supremacy and the right to be called the new “Law” in town.  These
buildings are well built but are only about two feet deep so when opposing teams are
on the same side of the street it becomes a game of close combat and quick
reflexes! Ghost Town has its own pavilion and is netted for spectators’ safety.

Tower Defense – This is the smallest field at Mansfield Paintball but the layout of
the field makes it a great place to play!  The 360-degree panoramic picture shows
the two story castle and all of the barricades on the field.  Control of the castle is
paramount to winning games here!  Many different scenarios can be played here
and the firefights are usually intense!  Tower Defense has its own pavilion and is
netted for spectators' safety and enjoyment! Pictures

Fort Vern – A great field for those that enjoy speedball, woodsball and scenario
play! This field has it all!  In the pictures you can see that there are inflatable
barricades, rock formations, trees, and a wooden fort on this field.  Something for
everyone!  The fort is located in the center of the field and is well designed with
walls inside the castle too.  Like the other buildings at this paintball park, this fort is
very well constructed and the red roofs add a nice artistic flair.  This is the largest
field that is netted for spectator viewing and the action can be watched while sitting
at the staging area which is just off this picture, to the left.  Fort Vern also has its
own private pavilion. Pictures

Sawmill’s Revenge & Lone Star – These two fields are very similar with a few
small differences.  Both of these fields are woodball fields, but there is no thick
underbrush on either field.  The barricades are typically constructed of downed
saplings bundled together and tied between two other trees.  Lone Star has several
of the wooden barricades covered with paintball flags and banners, while Sawmill’s
Revenge consists of just the wooded barricades.  The size of these fields usually
makes the games more of a cross between speedball and woodsball.  Both of these
fields are netted for spectators’ enjoyment and safety and they each have their own
private pavilion as well.  Pictures

Deep Woods – This field is the largest field at Mansfield Paintball and consists of
over XX acres of heavily wooded land.  This field is obviously not netted so
spectators, if any, are required to wear protective masks and goggles.
Unfortunately, at this time, this field is not in use as it has not been fully cleared of
thorny bushes, poison oak, poison ivy and other unfriendly plants.  The owners and
employees are working diligently to clear this field for use in the near future.  No
pictures yet.  Stay tuned for updates!
