Tactical Response Uniform (TRU) 1/4-Zip Combat Shirt from Discount Threads via Amazon.com |
I live, work and play in the Dallas/Fort
Worth area in Texas and the Summers
are HOT! I first saw these new combat
shirts at D-Day 2015 in Oklahoma and
wanted to make sure that I had one (or
more) before I go back for D-Day
2016, so I went to Amazon and found
this one.
I could not find any size guide so I
ordered a Medium and hoped that it
would fit. It arrived quickly and I tore
open the box to try it on and found that

would fit. It arrived quickly and I tore
open the box to try it on and found that
it was quite large on me. So I contacted Amazon and found out that
there was a 15% restocking fee to return an item (NO exchanges at all!)
This did not make me very happy, but I really had no other option so I
mailed the shirt back (cost $9.00) and received a reduced credit to my
account about 5 days later.
Because I liked the shirt so much, I immediately ordered another and
went with the XS size figuring that if it's too small for me, then it should fit
my wife. I'll let you know how that turns out in the near future!
Pros:
This is a QUALITY shirt! Very well made with good quality material on
the sleeves and on the body of the shirt. The zipper front makes putting
on/taking off the shirt much easier than other versions that do not have
the zipper. Plus you can unzip it to aid in cooling yourself on those extra
hot days. The stand up collar is a great plus as it can help protect your
neck from hits from paintballs and it also helps keep any tactical vest you
may wear from rubbing on your neck.
Cons:
The sizes seem to run on the large side, but if you compensate for that
you can probably get one that fits you well. The RESTOCKING fee was,
in my opinion, excessive - especially when the shirt was not worn, not
washed and the site does not have any sizing guide/chart to go by. Then
add to that the fact that I had to pay 15% restocking fee AND return
shipping!
