MEN'S TRU-SPEC NYLON / COTTON RIPSTOP COMBAT SHIRTS FROM TACTICALGEAR.COM |
I live, work and play in the Dallas/Fort
Worth area in Texas and the Summers
are HOT! I first saw these new combat
shirts at D-Day 2015 in Oklahoma and
wanted to make sure that I had one (or
more) before I go back for D-Day
2016, so I went on the web and found
this one. I did not realize at the time
that this shirt is different from the one in
the other review from Discount Threads.
There was a size guide this time so I
ordered a Small/Regular and hoped that

it would fit. It arrived quickly and when I tried it on, I discovered that it
too, was quite large on me.
I contacted TACTICALGEAR.COM (on a Friday) and they said they
would process the Return Authorization in one BUSINESS day. So it will
be Monday before I can start the actual return.
I did not like this shirt nearly as much as the other one - even though it
was less expensive - for the reasons spelled out below.
Pros and Cons:
Less expensive than other versions that I looked at. Good quality
materials on the sleeves and on the body of the shirt. However the lack
of the zipper front makes putting on/taking off the shirt less easy than the
one from Discount Threads. The collar is simply a standard t-shirt collar
and not the stand up collar like on the one from Discount Threads - I'm
not confident that it will retain its elasticity with repeated
use/washing/drying. If there is any restocking fee I will update this post
when I find that out.
